Bicycle ride across the valleys of JURA
We offer you unforgettable experiences - sightseeing the valley of Prądnik on bicycles. From Cracow we get to Korzkiew from where our bicycle ride starts. During the trip we are going to see a Castle in Ojców, monumental Mill, and famous Chapel on the water. Moreover we will obviously admire wonderful views of the valley. We have also predicted a lunch break in a local inn where you can eat some traditional Polish dishes, take a part in a fire and taste delicious trouts, sausages and potatoes. The Castle in Ojców - used to be a fortified castle built by Kazimierz the Great in the second part of XIVth century. Now only the ruins have remained. In accordance with tradition it was named by the king himself to commemorate his father’s, Władysław Łokietek, struggle for the throne in Cracow, where he used to hide himself in the caves. During the ‘80s the tower was restored and an exposition dedicated to the history of the castle was located inside. The Chapel "On the Water" - dedicated to St. Joseph the Worker is a monumental wooden sacral structure. It was built in 1901 above two banks of Prądnik stream. According to the legend its location was a result of will to avoid the tsar’s order that nothing can be built on the land of Ojców. The architecture was designed according to a Swiss style connected with regional one. The interior refers to the style of Zakopane which was very popular at the beginning of XXth century.
The Mill - we will not only see the monumental mill but also observe how flour arises.
